OUR ONGOING WORK

IN VETERANS RESEARCH

The Veterans and Small Business Community Challenge is an experiential training program designed to accelerate and enrich small business recruitment, onboarding, and hiring of Veterans in individual communities across Canada.

This pilot, funded by ScotiaRISE, will bring together up to 40 Veterans and 40 business owners in the Belleville-Trenton, Ontario, area with a long-term goal of improving the income resiliency in both groups through knowledge and skills exchange and increased employment opportunities.

This project is currently in the launch phase. We are looking for Small Business owners and Veterans in the Belleville/Trenton area to participate in a series of six learning modules to be held in March and April of 2022: two with Veterans, two with SMEs, and two combined.

Intrigued? Are you a…

… Small business owner who wants to attract new staff and build your workforce?

… Business Association or Chamber of Commerce that wants to offer this unique program to small businesses in your area?

… Veteran who wants to increase your civilian career management skills and learn about small business employment options?

… Journalist who covers small business, Veteran transitions, or career trends?

… Generally curious person who is interested and wants to follow along on the progress of VSBCC?

Let’s do this, Canada!
