Sometimes leaders just need to pause
Is this for you?
You lead a team of directors and managers who have navigated the pandemic well and are now wondering if things will ever return to normal. You’ve gotten used to responding to change and realize that the pace you and your team are working at reflects a crisis management approach. You know how you’re working can’t be maintained long-term, and you need to shift back to a more sustainable approach to addressing challenges, opportunities, and change.
What are you experiencing?
You look around the leadership table and see that your team is giving it their all, executing everything that is needed both strategically and operationally. You have good momentum, but you can’t recall the last time you stopped and took time to reflect on everything that is going on.
How do we address it?
We guide you through an interactive session that helps you create an opportunity for “slow time.” Slow time allows you and your team to:
- Come together in person, where planning can happen through an open agenda that fosters new energy and thinking
- Do some strategic thinking and get off to a good start, while also encouraging collaboration between your team members
- Ask the questions you never quite have the time or capacity to ask each other
- Move from crisis management to sustainable approaches that still enable and drive the changes you need
In addition to catching your breath, this session will help align your team, educate them on the direction, challenges, and plans for your organization (or department, etc.), and allow them to navigate their own thoughts and feelings. This session is grounded in practical and aspirational moments of clarity and insight.
How does it work?
We start with a Leadership Reset workshop with your leadership team. This half-day session serves the dual purpose of reintroducing your team to each other, in person, and setting the framework for creative, brave, and future-focused questions to be posed. After the workshop, we build your Reset Agenda from your team’s candid conversations, existing strategic plan, and emerging market forces to ensure you can accomplish everything you have planned. This service is highly customized to your needs.
You know it’s important. You know you need to make it happen. Let us take it off your shoulders.
“Lisa is the best strategist I know. Few people possess the capability to both develop and execute a strategy. Translating a vision takes skill but operationalizing it by bringing the ropes to the ground is even more rare. Lisa brings innovation, creativity, and a brilliance to her work like none other. I would always want her on my team.”
“I meet with Lisa regularly to discuss challenges I am facing as a leader. I have also engaged Lisa and her team to support the development and training of my senior academic and staff leaders. They always bring a unique, and evidence driven, perspective to both conversations and training. Our work together has elevated our team, and its activities, and provided impactful connections to the broader workforce beyond this campus and higher education.”
“Day in and day out Challenge Factory thinks about how work is evolving and how best to harness that evolution for the good of Canadians, and for the good of Canadian organizations. They assume that both workers and employers can benefit from where work is headed. As simple as that sounds, it’s a profound idea.”
